Overview
Pelotonia, a nonprofit based in Columbus Ohio, has one goal they continue to pursue relentlessly… ending cancer. They raise an incredible amount of money and awareness for cancer research by putting on events throughout the year with the main event being the annual Ride Weekend – A weekend where riders from all over come to Columbus and ride up to 180 miles over the course of 3 days. By partnering with The James at The Ohio State University, 100% of all donations and funds raised during this weekend, as well as the rest of the year, goes to cancer research. We were tasked with completely re-thinking the user experience and design from the ground up. Pelotonia has riders, volunteers, and others who visit the site daily to sign up for events, donate and raise money, look for tips and tricks, etc. The site truly is a tool and resource center for the community. With this in mind it was imperative that we focused on a strong user centric experience, specifically on mobile as the majority of visitors do so on their phones. The full Pelotonia Web Experience will be launched in March 2025, so stay tuned!
